The Dustless Sanding System – The Difference It Makes And Why We Use It
Dustless Sanding and Refinishing
Many homeowners put off refinishing their hardwood floors, simply due to the fact that they don’t want to deal with the mess that follows a traditional full sanding and refinishing. And who could blame them?! Dealing with the residual dust that settles after the floors are finished, sounds like an unwanted headache to many clients- especially those that are currently living in their home.
Dustless floor refinishing is not to be confused with sandless floor refinishing. In fact, sandless floor refinishing isn’t exactly sandless either, but we’ll touch on that in another post!
Our dustless system is an added feature when we do both full sanding and refinishing or screening and recoating. We use our dustless system throughout the ENTIRE process of your project- not just during the sanding process. Read more about Sanding and Refinishing HERE.
Dustless floor refinishing REDUCES the amount of dust created during a sanding and refinishing but the process is not entirely DUST FREE. Using the dustless methods drastically reduces the amount of dust by about 90%. Here at The Couture Floor Company, we find it imperative to contain that dust for many reasons other than just the cleanliness factor (although that is high on the ranking list.)
We always use our dustless system when we sand and refinish for our clients; they don’t even have to ask for this as a specialty line item. This is what sets us apart.
Our main reason why we ALWAYS use our dustless system is because we respect and treat every home like our own. It is important for us to make sure we leave your home in pristine condition. Below is a list of some of the top reasons we use our dustless system.
Allergies
Vents/Ducts
Cleanliness
Home Air Filters
Smoke Detectors
Chandeliers and home fixtures (Mounted TVs)
Kitchen Appliances
Cabinets, dishware, silverware, glassware
Oh! Not to mention that we ALWAYS seal off and quarantine rooms/areas we are not working in to ensure that whatever small amount of dust is in the air, is contained in the area we are working.
